Due to my photo harddisk crash during my trip, photos at Rissani are limited...

When I arrived in Rissani, I got invited to lunch by my host's relatives! We had a communal couscous, and it was yummy!

Took a camel trek and stayed overnight in the dunes of Erg Chebbi!

The sand dunes are really spectacular, esp when the setting sun turn everything to gold!!

Overnight at this Berber tent, but with no rain, you could just sleep outside with no problems!

Tanjine dinner, under moonlight and candlelight, in the sanddunes!

Photography in silence

Morning, where the chinese saying that the sunlight has reached your backside holds so true here for those who sleep in the open....

The golden sand of Erg Chebbi, under the morning light

The typical desert scene

Our permanent campsite. Surprisingly, I was woken up by the sounds of birds chirping!

Our part-time "rooster"

Back at our auberge, breakfast awaits!

My salad lunch.

Lovely rooms in Kasbah Sable d'Or

Hand-painted murals!

Kasbah Sable d'Or is run by Rachid and Isabelle, a French-Moroccan setup

It is in the village of Hassi Labied

A nightly mini music festival at the auberge itself!

While waiting for my bus to Kelaa M'gouna, I have an idyllic lunch at this cafe in Erfoud

Yummy salad!
