Mt Batur climb is the easiest to summit of the volcanoes in Bali. However, due to lack of exercise in SG, I had a hard time going up.
By the time I reach the top, the sky has already brightened.
Lots of other trekkers on top.
The overpriced menu on top of Mt Batur
It was very foggy/misty at the top, but I liked the atmosphere!
The sun peeking out above the mountains
Lake Batur below
Mt Agung, the highest point in Bali, and also an active volcanoe
The glorious sunlight!!
Surprising, lots of monkeys on top of the volcanoe!
Looking into the crater
There are still crevices in the crater still spewing out smoke
There is a large patch of black soil on the right, which was actually lava
The black patch on the top right was lava
The rocky slope makes descent esp hard
A shrine on mid-slope
Can see the shape of the crater on the right
The twin calderas of Mt Batur
Another view of Lake Batur
On the way back to Ubud, pass by this pretty rice terrace
On the flight back, managed to get the right window seat
Good view of the volcanoe! (Mt Agung?)
