Jilin

Hmm... what's this?

Pheasants of some sort

And hare!

Welcome to Jilin city itself!

Looks like any other Chinese city...

Dirty slippery ground, which is so hard to walk!

One of the more prominent landmark in Jilin city, the Catholic Church

Temple dedicated to Confucious (Wen Miao)

Wusong Hotel, which is just next to the SongHua river.

Just outside the hotel

The food here in Jilin seems to be catered more for groups... How do I finish all these dumplings!!!

Friendly guy from Heilongjiang, grabbing some food before he leaves for his long journey home

My first morning out trying to catch my wusong or rime frost... unforunately, its not cold enough :(

The cab driver introduced me to this food stall often frequented by the local cab drivers. For 6 yuan, you can take whatever amount of food you want.... but must finish....

The promenade by the river is great for strolls!

A slope providing natural playground for the local kids!

The Jilin Bridge by night

The Catholic Church by night

Started my 16hour train ride to BaiHe. Didn't realise its such a long journey till I bought the ticket! And worse, it is a yingchuo, with no sleepers available!!

XiGuan hotel, which is close to a park near the SongHua river. Made a return trip to Jilin to try to catch the rime frost again...

The park by the river

The park is pretty, but unforunately, no wusong again :( :(

Morning walk with the dog

A couple having their wedding shoot. Lovely winter scene background. Stole a shot after the photographer had arranged the posing.....
